  4. Close lid and turn grill on highest setting for 20 minutes.

Get yourself a large roasting pan that is bbq. safe and set a raised rack inside it. Put the pan with the bird in it on the grill and close the lid. Place on the grill with indirect heat, angling one thigh and the leg to the direct heat side. The grill temperature is not as critical as checking the internal temperature of the chicken. Turning the grill up during the last part of cooking will allow the chicken to brown and crisp up the skin.
